Shepherd Crest

The second pitch is decidedly more difficult. While I attempted to go up the loose middle, where I was barely able to hold a position without pulling the slope down on me, Stella. heads up the rocks along the left wall. -F


At every step, I feel the rocks under my feet slide away. The footing is treacherous. Small flat rocks slide down the sand to meet me. Everything is unstable. I get better holds along the wall, but it's still anxiety-provoking. -S
