We look for good spots for cams (SLCDs - "spring loaded camming devices"). We're looking for "pods", cavities that narrow a bit front and back. Cams like to "walk" when you wiggle them, particularly when the crack widens in front of them, and then they can become useless if it widens too much. -F.
