Convict Canyon



Backtracking. Some of this we descended upright with sticks, but some of it was also quite loose and we just used hands and feet. I was getting worried about my sprained ankle, it's just the right terrain to twist it again. -F.

This stream bed probably would have led to the base of the couloir. But the rocky terrain would be slow going, especially with Frank's ankle, so we decided to take our decrepit bodies along the base of the cliffs instead. -S.
