Pine Creek Canyon



At my turn-around distance, we invited Bill to continue up the hill if he wished. He was quick enough that he could get a good way up and back down without making us wait too long at the car. I felt a little guilty for the failure of this morning at La Escuela, and didn't want him to feel the day had been wasted. He had wanted to hike rather than climb anyway, but had indulged me chasing my own vain ambitions. -F.
