This year I experienced no magic. There was no spark, no tingle. I felt that Messner was mistaken. That had I the intent to commit suicide, the Sierra would not have stopped me. But that's hypothetical, I had not that intent, nor do I know what mental processes I would experience under such circumstances. -F.
