Mammoth Crest



I didn't even remember this descent which felt tedious and a bit precarious. I didn't want to descend Duck Pass, but this one was worse. I didn't remember it because things of this nature were par for the course. An everyday bit of work hiking in the Sierra, and we've regularly done much more difficult things without a thought. Is this what I've come to? This is nothing. But now it's an obstacle, a difficulty.

Okay, it really is nothing. But I excuse myself by reason of sprained ankle. -F.
