Final day. Our plan originally had been to rebuild the trad anchor from two days before, then rappel off of it. Since I would need the cams for my trad ascent, we'd dismantle the anchor again, and instead put up the quad anchor I prepared at the condo, and then do my first trad lead on the 5.6 Rodeo Rider.
That's not at all how the day went, though. Bill had concerns about the trad anchor, revolving mostly about all the cams being in a single crack, plus he was no longer sure it hadn't vibrated when I stomped on the rock, which would indicate that it was not part of the bedrock, and therefore not safe to climb on. Okay, if not everyone is convinced, then we should at least postpone it until later and reconsider. -F.
