I use the stick-clip to place the first quick-draw, and with Stella belaying find a comfortable stance close enough to the next bolt to be able to clip it with the stick-clip as well. Doing so allows me to effectively be on top-rope until after the first two clips which is the most dangerous section of a lead climb because the risk of hitting the ground in case of a fall here is large. Using the stick-clip eliminates that risk. -F.
